Brides these days love a bargain or two. And why not?

Let’s face it, a wedding is a costly event and can be very stressful too. We have met some very smart brides lately that have found a solution to keeping the over spending down and making it less stressful and more affordable.

eBay!

Now we know some of you might feel that eBay is not what you had in mind when you started planning your big day, but we think you might change your mind if you look into this further.

As an example, brides are finding their favourite designer dresses and forwarding the pictures with their size to dress makers overseas, only to receive that exact same dress back just weeks later at a fraction of the cost.

You may have to be prepared to have some small alterations done once it arrives so that the dress fits your shape perfectly.  While this wont suit everyone, it may be a small price to pay for having your dream designer wedding dress.

You can also obtain your stationary, centrepieces, bonbonieres on eBay at sometimes excellent prices, thereby allowing you more to spend on your dream venue, flash cars, photographer or videographer.

Other sites like Etsy may also provide inspiration rather than savings, particularly when it comes to the personalised and decorative touches.

We have been very impressed with the feedback and thought it only fair we share the benefits some smart brides are achieving.
